Girls Basketball Crushes Catoctin to Stay Undefeated

The girls basketball team defeated Catoctin in easy fashion and move to 11-0 by a score of 60-31. The Lady Lions played with great fierce defense. Lions are playing at the top of their game and look like they’re unstoppable.

In the first quarter the Lions played great scoring fast and shutting down Catoctins offense. The Lady Lions are a force to reckon with. Eve Bernardoni played with great presence on the court.

In the second quarter the Lions continued the excellent defense. All the players were working hard. The players have been well coached all season. At halftime Walkersville had a huge lead.

At the beginning of the third the Lions still were shutting down any opportunity that Catoctin had. The dominant power of the Lions continued into the fourth.

Lions charged throughout the fourth and pushed the ball down the court and scored more and more. The crowd erupted as the ladies won their 11th straight.

“Lions dominate. They played [a] ferocious defense and played a little edgy on offense. However, I think they will continue their surge,” said senior Colin Heller.

“Pretty much a guaranteed win when the girls play. They play with such power and intelligence of the game it makes it look like their championship contenders. I think if they continue to play this good they’ll stay undefeated,” said senior Garrett Allen.

“Lions girls basketball is the reason why I stay at the school. They score with ease. The defense is rock solid. I hope they continue to work hard,” said senior Ari Biggus.

“The power of Lions offense shines the light to win a championship this year. They are very well coached. They will beat Williamsport next week,” said senior Josh Clegg.

The Lions are looking tough to beat and play a hard team in Williamsport, and on Thursday play a huge rivalry home game against Middletown.
